    Yeah I'm guessing this is a bug, but you might as well check it out anyway.

    overture counts # of searches that CONTAINs the keyword, which is *9* in your case. Nobody will search for keyword 9.

    Actually when you think about it, this could be helpful to pay per click affilates. Wow do some math. That is a huge number. People are typing in phone numbers? street addresses? zip codes? 911? news channels? dates?
    What else..

    You should wordtracker "9".

    Added: duh oh "No data for phrase: 9"' from wordtracker.

    lol. My point was actually that the overture suggestion tool only displays individual search queries not concentrated stats, when it says "hosting" and X searches in the month of August it means that X searches were done for the exact search phrase "hosting" not all the other phrases that included it.

    Conclusion: theres a bad entry in their database for some reason!

    And oh yes.. I've been trying to rank highly with "9" for years ;)

    I think you misunderstand what these numbers are. Overture is not saying they return all these sites for a search on "hosting". They are only saying that these are the number of searches in a month for hosting and other phrases that include hosting.

    The other phrases are given as alternative KWs one might optimize for or purchase.

    I wonder if these cabbage heads have robots throwing ip addresses at google and overture is picking them up?

    Could this account for the number 9, number 9, number 9 occurrances?
