Dollar Accounts in the UK

    Hi,

    I've just been reading through the thread by spondishy, and it got me interested in which bank the rest of you UK people use alongside AdSense.

    I am currently with HSBC for my current account, and have read on the net that they do a US dollar account, which I presume won't charge you to pay in US cheques (or checks) from Google. The thing is, I am planning to move away from HSBC, and would be interested in hearing about which banks offer US accounts in the UK, and are known to accept Google Cheques with minimum fees.

    Is this the best thing to do? I am going to be in NY from February to May. Is there anything I can do over there while I am there to take advantage of the US cheque thing and make the most of my AdSense money?

    Wow, thats a bit steep. Is that regardless of the amount of the cheque? or is that a flat rate?
