    I have a forum which is located in a folder in the form http://www.xxx.com/mysite.

    Can I have a domain to point at this site?
    How do I do that and will Search engine locate my site with the new domain.

    Ya right and if you may try domain parking too if you want to point another domain to the same site. So that both domains can be used to access the site. Well with Add On domain you can point another domain to a specific directory.

    That Depends on how u use it . using add on domain it will index the domain
