Hehe.. this is my latest project, its rather silly, but I hate it when I go to forums that have nothing but crap smilieys, so I though I would create my own smilie directory of sorts.

Heh, I like the bow down to Firefox one. I'd advise you to put a note up about admins being able to put the smilies on their forums though - because each time someone uses your smilie it's hitting your hit using your bandwidth.

 

Great project Josh, I hope it does not make your fellow forum owners mad because they need more bandwidth to put up more emoticons.......??????

They might all get together one day and ban Josh from the forum circuit as their servers burn up.....LOL Josh.

Yes, I host all the images.. so that way I wont have anybody sueing me over bandwidth issues

Josh, what happens when there are billions of requests for these images to be served, how will you make out?

Do you have any way to recover your costs, or will this bring folks to your site to look at other services that you provide such as hosting?

Sure Josh, if not Billions your gona have millions, many millions to serve, can you handle it, the only time they see your Google ad is to pick them up the first time.

You should cross promote more on that page quickly, it does look much better with the template and the ads than the page you had up this morning.

Well.. I dont know if it will become all that popular, but if it did I should be able to have enough resources from my ad-earnings from my other sites to rent a cheap dedicated or semi-dedicated server.

Yes, cross promote, place banners from your other profit centers on that page.

Just like Godaddy does when you buy a domain, they try to sell you everything under the Sun as you proceed to the shopping cart.

WebHosting, Traffic Blazer SEO, Storage space to backup your files, you get the idea Josh.
