Duplicate content SEO impact

    I recently took down a lot of duplicate content from one of my sites and within a couple weeks noticed a major boost in search rankings and traffic. So now I'm thinking of doing the same thing to another site, pruning out a lot of old duplicate stuff. I'm curious if my experience was just a fluke or if anyone else has had a similar experience. I was surprised because I knew the dupes weren't getting much traffic, but I hadn't thought they were such a drag on the rest of my unique content. Anyone had a similar dupe content experience? Also wondering if it's worth the work to switch in enough synonyms & new phrases to make dupe content appear unique. Thanks for any input!

    I think you can chage someting ,make the content unique.
