E-commerce solution advice needed, but there's a catch!

I would like to implement an online catalog using a cms, but I don't want to sell any products. I am looking for suggestions for the best choice (preferably open-source, if possible).

    Here are my needs:
    -catalog of about 80 items
-customers can register or log in
-when they register, they get an email with a special offer or coupon
-products will not be sold online, so no order processing needed
-customers can make up a "wish list" that will be saved for them if they register

What is the best way to do this? Should I take an e-commerce solution like ZenCart and strip out the buying links? Most of the e-commerce programs are so bloated for what I want to do.

Perhaps an image gallery software would work if people can register and choose favorites?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

You can try using Joomla with Virtuemart compnent. It is an online store component, but there is an option to use it as catalog only. I have done such project in the past and it is pretty userfriendly, even your client will be able to update it later.

So here is my solution: Joomla CMS + Virtuemart component.
