It sounds like a Trekkie convention, but for Computer nerds.
I change my mind, I will not be attending.
    Beam me up, scotty.

But, uhh, have fun, Infin. :)

Yeh, I would go but I doubt I could stay awake. I will be going to the San Jose seo convention though, not to learn anything (I get enough generic info online) but finally meet some more ppl face to face who I have been networking with for a while.

I think it is about video games...I bought a PS2 at xmas but I never have the time to play it. Let alone to go to a convention about it.

By the way Need for Speed 2 is my favourite right now.

I came across a bug in Prince of Persia that stopped me from playing it after putting in some major hours

Omg I love Prince of Persia. I used to play that on the PC yearsssss ago. Along with Commander Keen. (Bet no one remembers that)

How sad I was. I was also so addicted to Zelda Ocarina of Time on the N64, too.

& Driver, Crash Banjicoot, GTA, and Spyro the Dragon on PS1.

Holla, where did you say this convention was?

Hehehe, my son plays PS1 spyro the dragon by himself and CB with my wife.

On occasion I take him through the license-part of Gran Tourismo, but after a couple of weeks he and a friend will invariably have deleted the saved game, so I'm reluctant to play much more.

"Daaaad, wait for me. I want to win" *whining*
    ...
"Haha look dad, I'm so ahaed of you - hahaha" *superior/smug-looking*

I miss those days when beating game scored was my priority ... now it's search engine rankings, sales, stats, forum members blah blah blah

Infiniterb, have fun at the show. I wish I were going, but an small auto accident and its repair is prohibiting me.

Everyone else: E3 is the largest exhibit for the video game industry. It's where Nintendo, Sony, EA, and Microsoft announce their latest systems, games, and accessories. It's a lot like Comdex or CES. E3 is not open to the public (but it's not to hard to get tickets), and mostly reserved for journalists and retailers.

Ah, Roadies is correct. Sorry you can't go, that sucks.

E3 isn't anything like a trekkie convention. I've actually met some real cool guys there from various development studios. But it's all about games.

But ST, Seo conventions? Come on man, those are BORING. :) E3, that's where the fun is.

hehe ... I have never been to any, way too busy and stuck in San Diego.

Sounds interesting though. Make sure you tell us how it was or blog about it.
