eBay best match and new products

Need some tips in regards to listing new products on eBay. How can you get them to rank high in search results with the best match? Past sales seem to be the most important factor by far in deciding where you rank with best match, regardless of what eBay may say. But when you have a brand new product how do you get it to rank high when you have no past sales? We do well with items that have a history of past sales, but the new stock we list is a disaster until at least one item get sold.

We pretty much list everything in BIN format. We tried listing some in auction format to try and attract people, bids, sales, but this has not been very popular, and has only cost us more money. The make matters worse, eBay claims that a large portion of its members use the default search method (the best match).

If anyone out there has any tips we would be very grateful to hear them. We've been selling on ebay for years, have 100% feedback, and adhere to all the best practices.

hope someone can give a best answer.Normally when i list an item,I pay great attention to the photo,title,and the description. They must appy to the customer's search habit.....
