ebay overpaid for skype??

    what you people think...people are still trying to find out ebay grounds for buying skype, their business don't intersect anywhere.

    morever, it sounds like overprice for skype, which IMO is more of hype than real substance

    (I have tried their service to call India from US and could never got through. Their support had no idea why and didn't sound like they ever expected someone to make international call)

    Not sure if anyone else experienced it, but skype used to make window crash...at least two time it happened to me

    A friend of mine here is states uses Skype to call England and Canada all the time. He is quite pleased with Skype.

    It does not work well for me from my Mother's house where my Internet connection is via telephone line. Guess connection is too slow.

    Even if it's not related to ebay, skype has been downloaded more than 160 million times so that's definitely a huge market reach in which you could sell almost anything i'm darn sure

    I am not qualified to doubt moves ebay makes ;) I trust they did their due diligence before signing on any dotted lines. Or they'll just lower ebay commissions soon..either way LOL

    I'd say they are on the right track. VOIP is a huge market potencial. That will be around for a long time. Everybody is trying to get a piece of this pie right now and Skype is a very big market holder.
