Ebay questions and concerns

    Hey guys,

I am starting an ebay store to compliment my online store (www.boostanddestroy.com) and drive more traffic and sales overall. I know that I have to sell 5 items on ebay before it will let me set-up a store with buy-it now pricing.

    I have a few questions:
    1. I have researched how to simply add pictures with html into ads but it seems that ebay wont allow that any more. I have tried using a <a href="XXX"> and <img src="XXX"> plus [IMG]

    2. Is there a way to get around the massive ebay fee's when selling? I read a while back that if a customer is linked from an outside source into the product the fee's are much lower

    3. What format can I use to make a template in Photoshop to make a nice looking sales template to input many pictures for free into the ad?

    4. Is there a way to get around paypal. Can I use the online merchant I have now to process transactions. I am not a fan of paypal in the least... I honestly hate it. I use Authorize.net to do all of my transactions at this point. What if any are my other options?

I am sure I will think of more. If you have any input on any of the questions your help is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you
    -Chisholm

you can still post images in your item descriptions, i dont think there is any way to lower fees however, linking from your ebay listing back to your store listing is a good idea, just dont put the words "buy from our site directly" cuz they will take it down if you do that.

    1. Yes you can use <img src="XXX"> and you can post Anchor links if you have an About page.

    2. You can get slighlty lower fees if you have a good reputation and sell a lot. You can also look at which format, options and categories are cheapest for your products.

    3. You can only use HTML and images to create a good look store / page, however there are companies out there which you can pay to do this for you.

    4. You don't have to use paypal, but the other options are a lot slower, e.g. paper cheques etc. However, if you are big seller with eBay you can host your own payment handling. Heck you can pay eBay to let you do anything if you can cash.

Find a unique product that not people sell them and be competitive with the pricing.

strange, because i can put image & link on EVERY my LISTING on Ebay. on description listing, choose HTML, put your
    link
    <a href="yoursite">Your Site</a>
    image
    <img src="img.img"/>

    tips:
    - make max 2 link every list, and make it blindly or little bit hidden on words. ebay hate this :)
for image, i make a lot of picture, and it is ok.
    - you must put image on some site / free image gallery

make template on photoshop, save it as html, and put the code (HTML) on Listing you want (using HTML editor)

ebay own paypal, so, ebay only love paypal :)
