eCom Confusion.

I have been thinking about setting up a shopify store, but I also
see everyone having those same issues, fb ads, cant get traffic,
bla, bla, and the cycle just repeats again, at this point, I am just
not sure as I do not want to be in this endless cycle of my store
going no-where.

a few months ago, I purchased an awesome two word domain that I
think would be a smash around the holidays; I also noticed a competitor
using a similar domain; however, I can only imagine, I think the
competitor picked the domain he got because maybe he did not have an
option to buy the domain that I have now; This store has also managed to
make his shop very successful, even though it resembles more of a general
store, then anything else, anyways, it does not matter if I think my domain
is far better then his domain, if I am unable to get traffic to the site, then
I am better off then everyone that has trouble getting traffic, and sales.

I think I have a very good short, and easy to remember domain, again, none of that
matters if I fail to get enough traffic to the store, and convert them to sales....

there are also other concerns, the competitor above appears to sell
quality merchandise, and the merchandise I was thinking about would
come from ali-express; I am not going to pretend we are competitors,
we really are not, his site has been around for a few years, and my site
has not even started, even though I feel I have the better domain. But
the merchandise would be compared to quality products vs nickel dime
products that you get from ali-express which can take 4-6 weeks to
even arrive to the client, assuming the product arrives at all.

anyways, I am just ranting...
not really sure which direction to go....
