eCommerce script load handling host requirement

Hi Friends,

I run a eCommerce portal for Kitchen & Home Appliances in India named www.kitchen18.com I have hosted it in GoDaddy from past almost a year & there has not been a single month I have not faced any problem with the host/server, loading times, errors etc.

I am running it on a opensource script i.e., OpenCart & I dont think it is much complicated & has so much SQL stress on the server.

I now want to shift it to a good server, where the downtime should be nil & the site should load properly. My main traffic is from India, which datacenter should I go for ? & which host ?? The pricing should also be reasonable to the service.

Also if I should change any structure on the website which can boost the performance, do bring light.

I'd suggest using amazon aws, and host it near India, Japan maybe...... not sure they have an india datacenter yet, but they might...

 

I can do that, But I am not technically sound so I can manage a server as whole. I am OK with cPanel or also Godaddy's hosting panel. I dont know to configure the servers & set it up. But I need to host just this website & a couple more if needed in future.

 

If there is problem with Godaddy.com why are you not moving with another host ?So many host companies are here which may be give you proper result.

 

If you are using shared hosting then you need to upgrade to VPS or dedicated server which will resolve your issue.

 

There are a couple of some good datacenters in India. It'd be a good decision to host your website there as you claim to have majority visitors from India. Run a google search and you'd be able to see a good list of datacenters. Here's a couple of those for you to choose from :
