    ecom site/ estore gives you presence/ location on the web, that's all. You still have to do marketing/ advertising/ promotion to drive traffic/ visitors to your site like when you have a physical store you also have to do marketing/advertising/ promotion.
    Building and setting up ecom site is the easy part- getting traffic/visitors to it is harder part. :)

    Of course it can. You are giving your store a prescence on the intenet just like as if you have opened a shop somewhere in a mall. Just organize what you do and what you sell. Then advertise for it, it will be difficult but with patience and the proper amount of dedication will bring sales.
