    Nope, you probably couldn’t… BUT you could keep them alive until someone turned up with a defibrillator. That might take an hour but so long as oxygen is getting to the brain then CPR is working.

    My friend who is a paramedic said defibrillators were a game changer with regard to the number of people they could save.

    People do get disheartened when CPR “fails” to rouse the patient but you just have to keep going until paramedics turn up.
