I know it depends on the content of the site, but can someone give me a rough idea of what one should expect to earn from Adsense with a website with 5000-8000 Alexa ranking? :D

I have a site that is ranked in the 14,000s and pulls around $300 a day. This type of question is so insanely relative though, I'm sure you'll get a whole range of numbers as answers for your question.

For example, a picture hosting site with little or no text and irrelevant or generic ads (for the most part) can pull a whole lot of traffic, but monetizing it with AS will be somewhat challenging, I'd think.

Next to the content is the language and traffic origin important too.

Pah, humbug. This shows yet again how inaccurate the Alexa ranking really is. His site averages 5k uniques a day, that's half of what my 14k Alexa site pushes. Alexa numbers are for donkeys.

A sites earnings and Alexa ranking rarely have anything to do with one another. I would say a 5000 to 8000 Alexa ranking means more for hype than actual monetary gain. YMMV

Why relying in Alexa? I don't like Alexa neither my antispyware programs. I agree with vladid and mia. Alexa ranking has nothing to do with your revenue.

You do know that it's possible to get a 5000-8000 alexa ranking with just a dozen people?

If the traffic is legit and the blog is about something that has some google advertisers, I'd say around $10K

You can't estimate site revenue from Alexa ranking alone.

How and why the hell did you dig this thread up? It's 12 years old and hardly relevant any more.

lol, I don't understand that "popular threads" thing, can a dead thread from 2006 really be one of the most popular? something wrong with the algorithm I think :)

I have a site that is positioned in the 14,000s and pulls around $300 per day. This kind of inquiry is so madly relative however, I'm certain you'll get an entire scope of numbers as answers for your inquiry.
