Experiementing for those with Adboxes at the end of your articles

After using a 336x280 at the end of articles (I don't like putting them at the top anymore as it looks spammy to me and I don't believe folk will link to you naturally plus it reduces the chance of being accepted in to directories etc) I decided to try a block of 4 AdLinks at the end of my articles instead - the CTR halved but the earnings have actually increased, and it looks far, far better then having any advert box there.

I'm warming to AdLinks.. there's no better way to make it look like your site isn't all about making money from AdSense.

Give them a try in place of your normal adverts for a week.. you might be suprised, or they might perform worse but that's what it's all about. They especially work well for me at the end of articles, certainly not at the top though.

ya i am still warming up to the adlinks too.. i havent tested them out yet but it will be soon.

yep i believe the box will be better at the end of the articles than the adlinks. The adlinks are still a 2 step process.

Also the end of the article is really good place to stick an advertisement but make sure it is above your footer and right after the article. As most ppl will click it since they are trying to find the next place to do and it gives them a call to action version going to another page on your site.



The funny thing is that even though i know it is good I only use 1 ad right now and it is at the top. i will be trying the adlinks under the first post and advert at the bottom of the page.
