I guess it by creating fan page and posting an ad on it (a paid ad) but this is not that easy you need to build reputation in order to get some fans on the fan page.

Great link Brad. However, my FB experience has been horrible. Most posts by my friends are political, or just real stupid. No business stuff at all for me. Even the Florida business groups I belong to. Dead. Nothing. A joke. That's is just what I see. Mostly politics on FB.

There are various ways to do it. Don't wnat to list it all here because it'll take me hours; I'll post the email from my list to a site so others can read. I personally would start with a fan page and work form there because many other methods involves spamming which isn't very say ethical.

I prefer to have a different account for marketing purposes and for private purposes - it's truly convenient! One for marketing helps me to increase the number of visitors on my website several times!

Facebook Marketing is very effective for any business & it cost you very less then Google ads...

You just need to be careful for few things & you can target good audience & save good money from facebook marketing. I tried facebook camp for my facebook page & it can cost you in between 5-20 cents if you are doing it right way. Please follow few tips mentioned below & let me know your feedback...

    1. Run your camp with cost per impressions
    2. Use good image or logo for your facebook ads.
    3. your ads should be relevant with your facebook page (eg. i have a facebook page about social media marketing news so i always do my ads with any great news about famous social media sites like twitter, facebook so that i'll increase my ctr & have chance to get good fans for my page)
    4. I alwys land my facebook fans to a special landing page so that they can decided should they join it or not.

follow these simple steps & let me know your feedback. You can start with a minimum amount like $5-$10 & see if its did well for your page...

I just started doing it last month & found it very effective because it woun't cost us much if we do it in righ way...

Please share your feedback(seach "social media marketing" on facebook & you will find my facebook page on top :))

You can create Facebook Fan Page and Groups. You can suggest them to your friends if your friends list is huge. You can purchase Facebook ad's also.

Facebook is a storehouse of traffic.
You just need to play your cards right.
    1) If you own some business or website, make a facebook fanpage. Get people to like them. It helps your business..
    2) If you dont own something, still make a facebook fanpage. Anything general which you think people would be interested in liking. Once your fan page becomes popular or have many fans, you can put status for people in point 1 above for some fee

Here is an article I wrote about how to create an effective facebook squeeze page. Theres code included that shows you how to hide content from users until they "like" your page. Using this technique I was able to boost the fan update by around 50% on my test page using my facebook fan service. http://fbfanshop.com/item/tutorial-the-facebook-fan-page-squeeze-page.html
