    To Canary Woolf,

In my opinion, this is the right solution:

    (Just read this thread.)

I agree with you here. A logo has to be small and concise and has to be complete in itself. But it looks like you've already decided the one you will go for...

A week ago I was hooked on #8 but I can't ignore the feedback on this forum which seems to point to #3. Although I have an influence internally, it won't be solely my decision so watch this space....

    here are my 2c.

as everybody's said, #3 is the cleanest looking one. The subject "cavalier" is also nicely emphasized due to its enlarged size though i would not settle for a simple envelope as symbol approach. Not too unique a concept. Many other businesses would have a similar symbol. Tell your designer to put some more time into it and come up with something more artistic.

The second set of designs looks quite unprofessional and its designer should be ashamed for presenting you such utter crap.

With regards to the biz cards, have you considered two-sided cards? Actually the matter is way too much to be presented on a single sided card. IMHO the contact info should be featured on the back side. It will also give a less cluttered look with plenty of white space in the front. The card owner's name and designation would also be more legible than what it is now which i must say aint much. :)

With regards to the decision-makers, they should be the smallest number of ppl at the highest possible authority level. At the same time, while taking a decision, they should take into consideration the opinion of the marketing head.

Cheers guybrush, thanks for your comments.

Firstly FYI (and everyone elses) I think it's fair to say now that I designed the logo's (not the 2nd batch thank god, that really was a designer!) I have a mixed business background and I guess I've picked up a few skillsets along the way. I set about creating the logos in dispair after the original logos (2nd batch) were presented to me!

I agree on the bus cards and I'll take a look at tht when the final decision is made on design. (grrr - hey does anyone else have this problem when I type design I nearly always type it 'desing' - there's a few other words I do this with but just can't think right now!)

I love your site, very nice, easy to navigate, clean, generally makes you want to stay and look around. The only thing I might consider changing is the header. I would recommend losing the silver 'top' as it does nothing but push the main content down the page by about an inch. (this probably won't appear to be a problem if you're looking at the site ona big resolution, but most of your visitors will be looking at 1024 x 768.

Maybe add a (stage 1) contact form in the header. Ask them to drop in there email and then when they click the next button it carries that through to a 'slightly' more detailed contact form (minimum information)

    Here's my idea:

Excellent suggestions about the header and the contact form and totally agree with you. Much appreciated.

Will work on them this weekend.

I have to go with #3 all the way as well: clean, crisp, and Cavalier jumps out nicely.

I think your left aligned version looks best, honestly. I liked #3 until I saw it as letterhead/business cards - then I liked the title going straight across instead of being on two lines. Actually I think I still like the title/logo going straigh across the top instead of it being on two lines.

But if you're going to go with #3 - the left aligned looks best to me.

    Thanks!

In general, I usually prefer when company names are on a single line (especially for something that demands as much professionalism as a mailing company)

My favorites are #2 or #8.

But you can almost never go wrong with combinations of red and black imo.
