Filtering competitve ads

I know that if I happen to spot an ad from a competitor on my site, I can create a filter in my Adsense account to block it from displaying in the future. However, what if I see the ad in a link unit? It doesn't display the destination URL, and I'm obviously not going to click it to find out the URL. How do I block that ad?

    Hmm. Straight from Google's mouth:
So it seems that I'm safe to click on the links in a link unit...

You would block the ads just as you would with the other ads you are displaying...through the filter on your account. It does take some time, but if you are still being shown ads for your competitors, I would suggest removing the link units all together.

The problem is that the link units don't show the URL or a display URL, and the Preview Tool doesn't work on Link units. But I really do want to keep the Link unit, as I have it in a very good (prime) location that should perform well.

The link units, if properly targeted, should link you to a page of sponsored ads on whatever subject the link was about. I am pretty sure that those ads are out of your control and you can not filter those.

I see. So that's why when I clicked on it I was taken to a Google page that had a bunch of links. Well, then that's OK. I'm fine with that.

    Thanks. :)
