Finally I have decided.....

After lots of research and and help from friends like EDZ and other dp members ( Thanks to all of you)I have deicded to work on Joomla for my entertainment portal...
Now being a newbie and with no experince with joomla, I need some help.
Overview of my site...
I want to build a entertainment portal in which I want...
News section
Downlaods
E-cards
Mobile section(with ringtones and all that)
Wallpaper download etc
Chat etc

and more other categories found on www.funmaza.com
I want to make more or less like www.funmaza.com
I want to update my site regularly so that all the updated sections show some where in home page?
Is it good idea to design a html page with rss feed ponting to joomla links ?

Please accept my appologies if my questions make no sense to you as I ma still a newbie..

 

What you want is all possible with Joomla.

You can either use ready made templates or if you want a template to fit your own design and look hire someone to make it for you.

are sites you can visit to find someone to make a template for you... for a certain price of course.

You should put some effort in to make a design on how you wish your site to look like.

If you think you have everything done, when you are certain about the look and feel then i would search for someone to make the template for you.

If you want to distribute Joomla topics? Why not. That is your decision.
But i don't think it would be appropriate for the theme and content you described.
