I just put my first adsense site together. I know I'll need to do more work with it, but it's what I made with the pagemaker that google offers. Does anyone have advice for best ways to drive traffic to a site? P.S. tried to post link but not allowed to until I have 10 posts according to forum guidelines. I will post it for insight when I qualify.

Yeah, so far google wont even verify the page for me. They're saying something about the system being down at the time and that it's pending. And I'm being given a verify later button on the bottom of the message too. I think I will take your advice and move it to my paid domain. I just got an account recently through hostgator. The site is about poker, so i'm wondering if that might have anything to do with not getting verification. My first post talks about a form of betting. Maybe google frowns upon this type of information in one of their sites or period. However, I did have a blog about poker through Blogger at one time that had adsense on it with no problems. The site will primarily be about basic poker strategy and not gambling, but I'm still not sure yet if google will see it as acceptable content. I'm hoping so because this is an area of interest for me and something I have experience in. Even if that still makes it the wrong niche for me to start out with, I felt confident I could supply good content for the endeavor. I already have a list of 38 article titles I plan to write on the subject matter, so hopefully all goes well. I may wait a little during the day today to see what google does or/and then contact their support before making the move to my own site. I got a feeling I am going to be better off on my own site over with hostgator though because they probably have a better wysiwyg than google. All for now.
