Flash or Photoshop

Hi all expert can any one suggest me which is better a flash or photoshop for website design.

Photoshop is far better thean Flash for site design however flash it better for web animations.

 

Flash and Photo shop are used for different things. Flash is to make those little animations... Photoshop can't do that. Photo-shop is used to make extremely good looking stuff, which flash can't do, because of it's limited drawing capabilities..

 

flash was originally a tool to author 2D animations. and it still remains true, only that its application is into more spheres.

photoshop on the other hand was designed for image manipulation. and now there is no limit to its application.

and as far as the difference between an animation and an image is clear, the two tools are equally good at what they do... there is no comparison or intermingling...
moreover, designers use both of them to complement each other.

Photo-Shop is used for pixel based still images while flash is used for animated sequences....

btw, dont use them excessively. Images & Flashes are not that much favoured by search engines *but they are still necessary in limits!*

Both are used for different things. Flash is made for animation. It is not false to say that flash is made for extra ordinary animation. Photoshop is BEST for designing. It can do great things to your pictures and proves great if you want to design something.

For static webpage design use Photoshop, we can also create simple animation with Photoshop like adbanners. We can create a lot designs using photoshop like web backgrounds, wallpapers, photo editing and retouching and soon.

Flash

We also websites using flash, but you must know about Action Scrpit 3.0 to create flash websites. For Web we can create ad-banners, animated logo and header, character animation, widgets, micro sites, Image slideshow etc.

Myself i always use both these two, i create all the stuff in photoshop then take this psd file in flash and create animation.

 

Depends on your design. If static images, then go for Photoshop and choose Flash for animation. Both are good for web design
