For promoting site which is the best social networking site?

Google Internet Search Engine, currently #1 has 73,879,305 links pointing to the site with a link popularity ranking of 8. Google is a popular search engine site. Facebook has 2,431,198 links pointing to the site and has a link popularity ranking of 197.

 

It depends on your type of business/website.

For local businesses and personal services, I'd suggest Facebook.
If it is a business that naturally produces some snippets of news or information that people will be interested in, I'd say do both by Tweeting and having your Tweets automatically posted to your Facebook page.

You might as well try both and see which works best for you, but first you should do some research into how best to use them both and then come up with a plan that suits your business.

Its true...facebook is familiar for everybody.

 

I think for promoting websites both services are important. Twitter has its advantages for promoting and a lot of people prefer short and messages to messages in FB. But on FB you can add so many entertaining things that even the most serious users will melt their scepticism while watching them)

 

I think Twitter is more important than Facebook, because Twitter has made great strides in building out its infrastructure to handle traffic loads and reducing appearances of the "fail whale".
