The first race of this reason starts on 12th of march in Bahrain. Is there any Formula 1 fan here ??

Whom do you think this year will win Constructors Championship ?

Renault or McLaren or Ferrari ?

I think this is McLaren's year.
Would there be any surprises this year?

I want Michael Schumacher and Ferrari to win. Here's what Michael has to say about this year's Formula 1 season:

"At last it's time, finally the season is getting underway! I've hardly ever been raring to go into a season like I am this time. We feel that we are well prepared and want to make a good impression in the first race. We know the circuit well after having tested there extensively in February. To be honest, I felt much less confident last year before the race at Bahrain than I'm feeling this year, even though it was the third race then and this time it's the first. Last year, we didn't know for a long time if we would manage to get the new car ready in time - and we did come up with one in the end. At first things went okay for us during the race, I was able to fight with Fernando Alonso until our hydraulics failed. I think we will be more competitive this year. The only long-term question is how much progress we will be able to make over the course of the season, this is a very important factor. But Ferrari has always been very strong with regard to that, and we have a good idea of what to expect this time. So the season can get underway now, we are looking forward to a tough challenge."

Yeah can't wait for sunday. For me, all indications suggest Alonso will take it again. It's hard to judge the speed of the cars from preseason testing, but there is some indication that the pointy end of the field will consist of Renault, Honda, and then McLaren (in that order). I think ferrari is not showing massive pace at the moment. As always the tyres are going to be a major factor, and how the new compounds from BS and Michelin wear will be a mystery until we see a few races.

Last year was a great season, and we've got quite a few new teams and drivers, so i reckon this one is going to be friggin' spectacular.

Well, everybody is hoping that Schumacher would be back with his magic spell, but it depends if he gets a car matching his potential.

I dont really think Jenson Button would be the best driver this year !!!

And about Tiago Monterio, i also hoped against hope that Narain Kartikeyan would perform good in atleast one race. He is good driver, but i dont know what happened to him in last season. I dont think he will get a chance again ever.

You left out other championship contenders in the poll like Button, Trulli, R.Schumacher and the Williams drivers and Massa.

The real competition will be between Bridgestone and Michelin.

There is indeed! Here I am! It's my favourite sport.

I enjoy watching it (BTW, I voted Raikkonen, but I hope Button does well!), I enjoy even more practising it!

Unfortunately the most I can do is a little kart racing when I get a chance, and that is usually In Boston, @ F1Boston.

Anybody been there? Any Yank that wants to race against me? ;)

i am surprised there are still fans in the US after the Indy fiasco last year.

    Anyway better.

I think you will side with Scott Speed since he is American

Button will win, this year or the next one or later I don't know, but he has a huge potential, and that since he changed his lifestyle...

Button is good. But i think this year would mark the comeback of the champion Schumacher, Button was 9th last season.

I think Honda would have felt humiliated after last season, especially in light of their great 2004 season. They'll come back swinging this year, and it will be Button rather than Rubens taking the points. That being said, i don't think this is Buttons year for the championship. Maybe he'll win a couple, but it won't be enough for the championship.

Yes, well, Button didn't move to Williams, luckily for him eventually, but he couldn't be at the top mental condition and the car was crap.

I want to see if Barrichello is going to keep complaining or he is going to prove what he's worth. Although I don't think he was treated fairly by Ferrari.

Button might only win a few, if the car is good enough, but he's going to win the title in a little while, or at least I hope!

I only wonder about Davidson and other good British drivers, young or just waiting to jump in!

And Coulthard, I hope he has a good time too, he was so promising in his very first races that I'm sorry he couldn't do more.

Button missed the podium by 1 position, frankly i did not expected that much from him, but he is getting good. But shumi is getting back to form with his 2007 Ferrari.

Nico Rosberg was fantastic - he set the fastest lap of the race and was pushing very hard. Looks like the Williams and the Ferraris are faster than most predicted.

Very good race actually. Can't wait for Malaysia.
