This was a serious and important thread and now Anthony and the Peppermint Patty Twins have hijacked it.

 

IMO, the overall quality of the forum is being compromised by this drivel being spread around other threads as well.

Sorry Minstrel, you can still turn it back, the new girls are alright, they will grow on us.

We need some fresh air, be nice to the new members all, they will grow into the forum fine.

You all know that as the forum grows we all have to grow with it, so us old timers have to accept the new members with grace, OK....

SE, maybe you, Minstrel and Ms. T should all send a PM to Shawn and get him to join the stomp on new members club.

I would bet that he would not join the 3 of you, so you will all have to attempt to accept new members with patience and grace.

I think this is possible without discouraging them.

In addition, you are all making a big deal out of a little thing.

OK, but it is not an argument, this forum is one for opinions among friends, we all know that there is interjection of humor in most of the threads here by old members, so we should not jump on new members when they do it.

This isn't the interjection of humor -- this is thread hijacking.

Let me give you some advice, girls, since Anthony won't: Start your own "let's all giggle and talk about nothing" thread or join in the "how old are you?" or "what color shoes are you wearing today?" threads and stay the hell out of ones that are actually trying to discuss something meaningful. I don't find this amusing. I find it damned annoying.
