I would figure You will have over 30,000 make it into the news and then be blacked out by the reporter with the heels again.

Good memory - you definately get some bonus points in the contest for that plus the humor. For those interested, here's the picture corena is talking about.

    Hi Alek

Well you have to have at least 35,000 lights, so I'm going with 35,001 there's an Aussie couple down here who estimate they had at least that many last Christmas... so there's a challenge for you...

Seperate from this free contest (which should be decided tonight) is I'm running a fund-raiser on the same Christmas Lights pages - see this DP thread

BTW, I have a pretty good idea of what the approximate final number is going to be, and my guess is the closest answer will be less than a 1,000 lights away.

Just for the sake of alliteration (is there alliteration in numbers?), I will guess 33,333.

OK guys ... the FINAL number of christmas lights was 26,000 ... and all-time high for me. I told you I was going to give Clark Griswold a run for the money (he "only" had 25,000) and so far (famous last words) my circuit breakers haven't popped. You can count all of the christmas lights if you want to check my numbers (!) ... or swing by in the evening and turn 'em on and off in the evenings.

Refrozen had an early guess of 25,000 which was close ... but Bazkaz chimed in with 25,100 and therefore wins the contest. I've sent 'em a PM what they would like as their URL/anchor text on the Hulk'in Page.

BTW, for those folks that didn't win but would still like some strong PR6 (was PR7) links, I'm raising money for Celiac Disease Research with my Christmas Lights - check it out and consider signing up - when's the last time you bought a high-PR link and were able to take a tax deduction for it! ;-)

    My final guess is 26,000.

    Am I too late?

Sweet. I'll get back to you Alek. I was on vacation for Thanksgiving and just flew back in last night. I'm still pretty beat, but should be back up and running sometime tonight... I hope. Lots of work to catch up on.
