Free Web-based Email System Needed

Can anyone tell me where i can find a good free web-based Email system .. this is to give free Email to my users , so that they can sign up themselves and get an email account .

i think some webhost gives you this option. mine does. you can set the quota for the mailbox, mnumber of email addresses allowed, etc.

 

I would check out squirrel mail, I use it quite a bit and it's a very good e-mail client. it's light-weight and gets the job done. You might be able to offer a service from everyone.net too, I believe they even have a referral system to offer e-mail. Might be worth checking out for your needs.

Oh, you're talking about a shared hosting platform. I don't believe there is any way to automate a user sign-up process on a shared hosting account, but you could try contacting your hosting provider to see if they have a solution for you. If you were on a dedicated host you could easily set it up and manage it all for automation. Your best bet is just to send an email off to your hosting provider in this case. Good luck with it!

If you have C-Panel, you can usually set up mail using one of the clients installed (Horde, SquirrelMail). Another option that I frequently use is Google Mail for Businesses. It's free, and you can go years before having to delete any messages.

 

If you like to use php based, the default ones with cpanel should be good enough but the users can't register email account only without hosting.
