I need to hear from someone who already tried to buy a Free Webhosting server and put there AdSense for each free account. How much is earning potential for such enterprise? Please advise!

buy a webhosting server then putting ads on other peoples sites who host on the server?

cos "buying a free Webhosting server" does not make sense :) why would you buy something that is free? :D

more info is needed me thinks.

When I say buy a Free Webhosting Server, I mean buy a server and make a free webhosting there.

Please respond only competent people! Don't flood my thread!

I have seen it done, but you have to be really really carefull of site owners clicking the adsence ads, It could get you banned from adsence.

I have seen a lot of free hostings that post a lot of Google Ads. How knows the owner of any one? How much he or she makes?

Sorry, didn't know asking for more info was flooding or made me look incompetent.
^^ guess that's flood also, now I feel really incompetent

Users clicking on the ads won't break the TOS cos the users are not the adSence customer? He is. As long as he does not click on them all is OK right?

users wont click on them over and over as they are not getting any earnings from doing so.

Sorry Kasparoff, but that is a real bad attitude to take on a community such as this. The poeple on here ARE VERY competent, and you have just alienated many of the most competent with that outburst. I am also just stating what many hvae thought.

There is a saying that goes, 'don't bite the hand that feeds you'. Il it appears to me like you have a mouth full of fingers ;)

The earning potential, in theory, is decent - but you would almost certainly be looking at a long-term commitment with short-term losses, IMO.

You're going to need a decent responsive server, and these days you need to use long words such as "xeon" or "opteron" to really catch people's attention - and those aren't cheap words.

Additionally, you need to consider the fact that you should have good experience/knowledge of providing webhosting solutions and the technical support that comes with it, because in your current scheme, you can expect to lose your source of income at the slightest trouble (and servers always offer potential trouble).

If you really want to follow this path, then think long and hard on it - you need to really ensure you can tally figures together, and realise also that for most sites, AdSense pays pants.

Yes, it can work - but IMO, you should need to think long-term, and also ensure you have firm planning and experience before you even touch a server, let alone enter a hosting environment without a proper understanding of what you are getting into.

You also need to provide a lot of templates and a good interface. The majority of your customers will be newbies that are looking to set up a personal page or hobby page and will have little html.

If you just blindly offer free hosting, your server will be taken up by SEOs using it for other purposes who will only cost you money and return nothing in AdSense ;)

    I have this experience.

It is good if you stick on it. And you need to approve the Free Webhosting requests, manually. You cannot simply put your adsense in all hosted websites.

I gave a popular blogger her own domain and software for this exact purpose.

But it was not blind, I know her and talk to her. I think I'll make my 15$ back. But I wouldn't bet the house on it's potential.

I would *think* that the sort of people who look for free webhosting, who use templates, who are "newbies" will not be making sites which will get loads of visitors. I know several friends and my wife who have made sites this way, they have loads of content but at the end of the day they are sites about them and their pets or whatnot... wifey even put on adSence for fun (because I did it on my site) and she has not made $1 yet in a month.

So unless you get lucky with a few users who make popular sites, or you aim for 1,000's of users, earnings are not going to be great *me thinks* esp as hardware and bandwidth for 1,000's of users is not free to you.

you should just buy a reseller account to start with since you will then have time to learn how things like "WHM" & cPanel etc etc works without the hassle of sys admin.

why put your goldmine on a site that you do not have a total control on it. I'm sure you want to optimize the adsense on your site right to get higher CTR, but if you let your free account holder do it for you, I'm sure they will put it anywhere as long as there is an ads in their site as required by you. Seems like not a good investment for me, better you use the server to make a bigger site that can really catch visitors and you have a total control of it.

Why this is bad idea? Conceive this, you get a hosting and automatically put your AdSense banner to the top page of each free website. See example: http://www.biologyfacts.150m.com/

Most of us know that banner ads is the most ignored one, its not give you high CTR compared to the Box Ads. Visitors of the site will seems to ignore the huge banner on top of the site because they know it is an advertisement. I use to put that kind of ads on my site before and guess what, the CTR is just 0.1%.

But good luck to you though, just want to share my experience, if you think you want to go ahead with the plan, I'll pray for you success. Don't make my failure to demotivate you something that you really believe can give you success.

I think You can go ahead with websites wanting to have forums in their site, *only forum* nothing else, I have seen couple of sites like forumsplace.com, which prodives free forum plus they have google ads in there! on top!
    Why forum?
Forum is best and better becuase they will be like providing support/help/any other things on which atleast some visitors might be intrested in! rather then giving away a free webspace for a personal page!
There are 10000's of sites which give away free web space but there are only handfull of sites which give free forum with php and mysql db's. but you can keep the data base backup with your self to avoid user's shifting the forum to other sites ;)
    Best of luck!
