From IDEA to DIGITAL PRODUCT..?

Hi Guys,

Often people have an idea for either an eBook, or have a skill, or know a "How To" that would be valuable to someone else. Now there is A LOT of work between an "Idea" and a sell-able Digital Product.

Now here is a SHORTENED LIST of things that would need to take place for the idea to become a sell-able Digital Product:

*Produce the actual eBook, or Set of Videos, or "How To" eArticle that you want to sell
*Design a Professional Landing Page that will compel people to buy the product
*Write the Script for the Landing Page targeted specifically for the product's visitors
*Have work done by a HTML Coder, Programmer, and someone familiar with Integration
*Experienced Writer for Terms of Service, Privacy Statement, Earnings Disclosure, etc..
*Have a Designer make multiple Banners ads and Emails for Promotion
*Create an Affiliate Page for others to Promote the product
*Integrate the site to accept Online Payments (Visa/MC/AM/Disc/Paypal/etc..)

As mentioned before this is just a Short List of what goes into having your idea become a sell-able Digital Product. Now, what if you could just worry about the product and we’d do the rest to have it become a reality?

Wow... i have some reservations that it is soooo easy. I guess each bullet point would entail tons of work, right?

 

Each item listed, and others not listed do entail work, and many people who are not familiar with getting it set up would be very overwhelmed or perhaps get it done but again if the result didn't look presentable enough for Affiliates they may not promote it.

 

PtView, my main concern with such a service would be the cost.

I would be interested had I had an actual budget for a product startup. Most writers don't make a full-blown business plan, let alone a market analysis or a breakeven analysis when they plan to make an eBook. That being said, indeed, all the bullets entail a LOT of work. I just launched my first ever serious eBook, ArticleBrokering, and from start to finish it took me about 200 hours to do all that you've mentioned above... and I'm not even finished yet. I'm onto my marketing stage now. Of those 200 hours, I spent about 60 hours actually writing the book. So, I would imagine that getting paid just $10 / hr to do this, it would cost AT LEAST $1,400. Majority of eBooks sell for, lets say, round numbers $50. That's 28 sales just to break even (not counting merchant fees). Not many startups have this kind of budget for an eBook.
