Take a look at this auction:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5950970701&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

and scroll down to the bottom where it shows questions from buyers.

Note the question and then the answer (this person actually fell for this):

    Too Funny

Makes things interesting though doesn't it? My Dad is the most gullable person in the World. We're always having a laugh at his expense.

True, it is fun to laugh at the expense of someone naive and easy to dupe.

These are the situations where eBay leaves you out to dry too. I have gotten a million requests for goods via Western Union and always wonder how the scam eventually goes down.

I would say judging by this, they just fake a Western Union email so you think the money is on the way and send the goods.

    Lol

My mate got scammed when the cheque arrived for a PS2 game he was selling. He sent the game off before he had been to the bank and when he got to the bank the guy had cancelled the cheque. Turns out the same guy had done this with a few other people as well.

Thing is, he's giving people his address to send the game to and one of these days someone might not just forget about him and go down and smash his windows in or worse lol.

    It's very simple.

Don't send anything if you don't have the money (or at least 66% of it) yet*.

Customers shouldn't complain about that because that's how it is in the supermarket and almost everywhere on the high street as well.

    * Ideally verify the money you got came from the person yuo are sending it to or at least authorized for this transaction.

If people were that smart, there would be a lot less suckers out there.
