In my case I inherited a fair amount but made the most of it. I also received a good education and much needed work experience from my family and friends.

What exactly did you spend your inheritance on, if you don't mind me asking? I normally don't ask.

 

I was working for an advertising firm at the time in Los Angeles.(North Hollywood) I had invested already in 2 rental properties in Canada, but was far from having them paid off. I inherited property in Orleons, France, as well as cash.
I handed in my notice and flew up to Canada, paid everything off and bought 2 more pieces of rental property. (mobile homes) That was about 20 years ago and I have since sold the French property, and have invested in a shop on a ski hill, which also I rent out.

Years ago I had a small (very small) online translation service, and I needed a good SEO to smooth things out. I found one and later needed a couple of pinch hit writers, I also found them here as well.

Didn't have a choice. Had to earn everything, myself. Older than dirt, now.

 

Dirt makes things grow.The only thing bad about dirt, is when it falls down on you.

 

Self-made, since I've got no choice. Most likely by trading stocks, but first I need the initial capital for that.

 

I believe that the best option as for me is self-fulfillment. But I'll be honest with you, it's not as smooth as I would like it to be. My first business collapsed along with the money I invested in it. But the other options are also acceptable. After all, my first business I was able to open only because of the inheritance I received from my grandmother, who lived in Israel. She left me just a little marquise lab created diamonds. Only a real diamond, not the ones that are grown in laboratories now. I just don't feel good about getting married, so I guess you probably mean getting married on a date, right? That would probably just lower my self-esteem. And you can't have that in business. So for now I vote for self-actualization, with my second business doing very well, and no inheritance. And the second place is already an inheritance but I would not want someone to die, because otherwise the inheritance will not get(((
