One of footballs all time greats, he will be sadly missed and I hope the football skills he showed at the height of his career in the 1960's will be what he's remembered for and not for what he became.

I think it's sad that he passed away, more so because he had all the opportunities given to him to take control of his life and change his lifestyle, and he didn't take them. Even that liver transplant he had should have been given to someone who would have not continued to abuse their body. He kinda brought it on him self. But it's still a shame.

GOOD, he did it to himself so im not gonna feel sorry.

He was given a new kidney (or was it a lung?) and a second chance at life and still continued to drink himself to death, also that kidney could of went to someone that needs it more (such as a little kid)

I agree with you to the extent that it could have gone to someone who needed it more/wouldn't have abused it. But saying ''Good'' ...that was a little harsh. I wouldn't wish death on anyone. Not even if they brought it on themselves in a way.

It's such a waste of a supremely talented individual. :(

    Lol :D

He said some funny things in his time...

''I've stopped drinking, but only while I'm asleep.''

''I was in for 10 hours and had 40 pints - beating my previous record by 20 minutes.''
-- (on a blood transfusion for his liver transplant, not on his Drinking)

''I used to go missing a lot...Miss Canada, Miss United Kingdom, Miss World.''

''He cannot kick with his left foot, he cannot head a ball, he cannot tackle and he doesn't score many goals. Apart from that he's all right.''
-- (his assesment of David Beckham)
