German spam?

    Is it just me?

    My spam mail is almost 50% german this week, not that most of the spam emails/text read very well in English anyway but I have been getting truckloads of german spam emails.

    I have had fun using Babel Fish translate some of them though :D

    yup me too, and i've heard more people complain. and no need to translate them... it's worthless. not even a nice virus attached. just one stupid link everytime..

    Me too! Last night and the night before... (...3 wee monkeys came to my door, one with a trombone, one with a drum and one with a pancake stuck to it´s bum... sorry, ahem, I got carried away there.)

    Anyway, yes, German spam, tons of it. Thank god, I´m not alone.

    A few weeks back, I started getting truckloads of spam (I guess) in Japanese (which is Greek to me)...

    I checked my logs and backlinks and discovered some Japanese forum had a link to my forum... not that I could see where it was since it was all in Japanese characters...

    Eventually, it subsided, perhaps because I didnt reply... who knows? Maybe they were all teling me I may already be a winner :eek:

    Actually, e... I'm pretty sure you are. Fortunately, you have your own private language so you'll have someone to talk to... "a pancake stuck to its bum"? :eek: :confused:

    It´s a Scottish kid´s ryhme, that started Not Last night but the night before... It just popped into my head because of the way my post to sji started. There was a chance that sji2671, being Scottish, would understand what I was talking about... but then I was drowning my nicotine withdrawal in beer last night and possibly wasn´t thinking too clearly. :)

    How funny you posted this SJI, I was just heading to General Chat to start a thread on strange spam.

    I haven't gotten any foreign spam this week but I did receive a series of strange spam newsletters from someone promoting an ebook on dog training services. The most bizarre part were the fake names they used in the from field, including...

    Aesthetically R. Proselyte
    Chang F. Reprograming
    Plumbers P. Crucifixion

    and my personal favorites...Bossiest G. Falsity & Laxative H. Rapes !!! :p

    I think the spam is at least getting more inventive, if I cant totally stop it I dont mind it being german/russian at least it's easy to spot.
