German spam?

I haven't gotten any, but it appears to be a really serious problem. It has made into several news and Google picked some up.

Apparently the virus is a variant of Sober worm, and like all other spam worms, it turns computer into zombies and right now these junkmails are clogging up the Internet badly. Time to update the virus definition and OS so no one gets hurt, I guess.

 

I still can't understand why a computer user wouldn't have a decent antivirus installed on his PC. It's like driving a car without brakes or having soop with a fork.

 

Because the Internet is a information highway but the drivers don't need to be licensed to drive, thus we got some drivers on the road that don't really know how to drive.

 

This is pissing me off now. Has anone thought of some effective Outlook Rules to delete these emails? Do they have something in common?

 

Most spam filters can be trained to identify anything as spam. I was getting this spam through a website email account. I "cured" it by forwarding all of my website email to my ISP account, since they have spam-filtering in place. That stopped 'em.

Now I'm researching personal spam filters. Anyone had any experience with good ones/bad ones?

I've got it set up at home like that but use Outlook here in the office (for now) where I get all the spam.

If the German's not too busy putting towels on sunbeds at 4am, they are spamming our inboxes.

 

So that's where my towels keep disappearing too... I was blaming the French all this time

 

Spam Bully and gmail have done a pretty good job at filtering them out

 

Up until about 4 weeks ago I thought Spam is something you ate.

Is there some place That tells you all the super cool geeky lingo? I need to swat up abit.
