Getting over the obsession

    Okay, I know this shows what a sad and boring person I am, but I have become obsessed with this damned forum. I am spending far to much time here and my work is piling up. I like forums, I like being able to ask questions when something comes up, try and help on threads if I can (though I usually can´t). But my preference is too swing by a couple of times a week, catch up and then GET ON WITH MY WORK!

    Could you not all promise to keep the interesting backbiting and catfights to a couple of times a week - say Wednesdays and Fridays so I don´t have to check in to see the latest acid response?

    Give me some feedback here - how often do you all visit DP? And is there a DP Anonymous for those who can´t take it in moderation?

    Same here... Way too much basically but it's OK... Staying away for a week to catch up is a good thing.

    How often do I visit? I just leave it open..Pretty much the same with the keyword tracker, the mac page rank widget, keyword suggestion tool.

    I probably only have 1 visit, with 1000000000 page views !

    I think its time to make DP OS v1.0 (mac version first please). And the rest of the world is worried about whether its google or MSN that will win your desktop. If only they knew.

    Me too ;)

    And as far as the original question, I just have it open in the background. If something pops up I want to comment on, I do. But I am always working at the same time.

    Yes, working at the same time.. always the trouble is my ratio of work to posts is dropping lower than my Adsense CTR - I hope saying that is not against the TOS. ;)

    As far as changing my name.. You'll have to find the thread here (i can never find the threads in seach and you have to have more than 3 letters so words like 'msn' dont show). I asked shawn (someone else did and I said... 'would you mind?')

    I only chose the other name originally because I had an urgent question that I couldnt solve and I knew it would be available. Then I was stuck with it, or so I thought. This is the name I woud have used all along if I have put any thought behind my initial signup, but figured it would be gone. Also, it has the word design in it which cant hurt (every little helps! - and suddenly you account for £1 out of every £8 spent in the UK so so Tescos say)

    The size of your obsession is directly proportional to the amount of members you have met "offline" ;)

    It wouldn't surprise me if I had met "other" members offline without even knowing it, we need a secret badge or handshake ;)

    Some of our DP buddies are the guys who will make the news over the next few years - most of which will be bad news like "Spammer caught sending 10 billion messages today!"

    Others will be like "Digital Point solutions buying Symantec for 4.5 Billion"

    Crazy huh?!??!

    Or... DP Party gets out of hand... Yesterday's DP piss up at Mr Hogan's place has resulted in a big fist fight when WMW members decided to gatecrash the party. It all kicked off when Mr A.C. started talking politics and someone else mentioned clicking eachothers ads. The situation was very heated already when a mob gang of 600 WMW members took out Hogan's security team and broke into the premises. The 4,557 DP members attending the bi-monthly meet up responded without hesitation. Local hostpital San Diego Sunflower reported [...] etc. :D

    Feel free to replace God with the higher power of yer choice:

    God grant me the serenity
    to accept the posts I cannot change;
    the courage to bitch anyway;
    and the strength to read another forum..

    God grant me the energy
    to to get some work done;
    Other than spending all my time on the DP forum;
    and the common sense to accomplish my tasks.

    Don't use a stapler; use tape. Why suffer pain?
