GIMP and Inkscape

Hey mates!

Please send me links to where I can download the softwares GIMP and Inkscape. Thank you. And also, how to make a virtual desktop for GIMP or any way to make it look like Photoshop. Our office will be switching to freewares next week.

I hope I won't have a hard time learning new softwares. I'm used to Corel Draw and Photoshop. Thank you.

I have not looked at the ui for GIMP lately. I understand it has been improved. You can sort of change the UI or at least the hooks for it.

How about that virtual desktop for GIMP?

 

? I am not familiar with it. If you are looking for multiple or virtual desktops you can use http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx See virtual desktops, its towards the bottom.

Or I use http://www.shelltoys.com/virtual_desktop/ when I have to use photoshop. I try to stick with linux as much as possible. This little app is pretty nice.

Because I don't want how GIMP looks - lots of windows. I want it to looks like Photoshop.

 

In that case you should try the version with a modified UI, called GIMPShop http://www.gimpshop.com/

How could you say that? It's just that our office will switch to freewares. I'm usedd to adobe. Back to tutorials. Whew!
