giz's Avatar....

Some people on here do not like my avatar.... this saddens me as I have had it many years and never had a complaint before.... people who come across me recognise me straight away.... I always use the same name and avatar you see.... I am constant. However.... if I am to get on with you people I will give you the choice.... should it be my present one or the one below.... or none. I trust you will make the right choice and I will abide by your choice.... *hides away* .... I need to lie down.

 

There is no, either will do option.

 

The current one without the rolling eyes.

No animated gifs.

 

It's annoying but inoffensive and tolerable IMO. But if you want to please each and every one of us, change it to a non-animated one.

 

LOL You do what you want, giz, though Flat makes me laugh; he seems to be enjoying listening to Joe Jackson's "I'm the Man" right now Aw, shucks, he's not in time to "It's different for girls"...

You know Giz I have already told you that I like your avatar and asked you to put up this poll to find out why others are mad about it.

The moving eyes do not bother me, I think it may bother some others here as SE mentioned.

But it does not bother me and I am bothered real easy. So I do not understand why others are upset.

I think that some folks can not read with stuff moving around and it is as simple as that. But if that was the case they would not be able to read websites or watch TV, so some make a big deal out of nothing.

To report bad reputation on an avatar is insane in itself.

I had the same problem with my avatar, folks would recognize me anywhere but some insisted that I take it down because my real life photo bothered them. See the attachment below and tell me if you can understand why my high school photo upset folks so bad that they started to complain about it.

 

OMG Anthony, you look just like Charlie Manson when you haven't shaved, otherwise I thought you looked like Robert Plant...

 

Yeah, I get compared to Elvis a lot too, it is the price you have to pay to be good looking

Giz, the reason people dont like animations is because it automaticlly pulls the eyes to it and makes it hard to focus on the rest of the page, every good website designer will tell you that, thats why animated gifs are bad for websites.
if you want to animate, make sure it stops after a few seconds.

 

Anthony you are right about asking me to put this poll up.... you are also right that it is insane to report someone for their avatar.... after all to me it is an expression of my personality.... mad but compassionate. A good friend told me this was for me as it was how he saw me, Oh! I am also a great cat lover, which is where my name comes from.... I rescued a wild cat called giz and had her for 16yrs.... she would follow me everywhere and just like a dog if someone was threatening around me she would attack them.lol. My avatar is a mix of us both in my friends eyes.... that is why it is special to me and I would be sorry to see it go.

I think you should use your high school photey as your avatar.... in fact I insist.... at least every time you post I won't want to kiss you as I do with your present one..lol. Does cheech and chong spring to mind?..lol. You look fine to me man.... you haven't seen me yet. Take care....Mark.
