I've heard that GoDaddy is not good for hosting. They are good for domains, but not for hosting. For hosting you can choose any of the 3 other web hosts that you have mentioned. I have a hosting account with both Bluehost and Hostgator and am hosting my Wordpress sites with them and all works fine.

Definitely decide between bluehost and hostgator. I personally say hostgator because I use hostgator for most of my wordpress sites.

I took 3 separate clients off of shared hosting, like you mentioned, and their Alexa rankings plus search engine results increased! Toss your shared hosting's IP address into robtex.com and watch your jaw drop as you see 400+ questionable websites sharing the same IP address as you, with many of them malware / scammers!

Ive had godaddy since 2000 not once has my website went down. Hostgator i just got a business package there in october. the website has went down over 20 times id say. And once it was down for like 6 hours or so 3 days in a row. They gave me a 3 month credit to let them remove my negative review at there forum. You be the judge i still use hostgator dont get me wrong there good for sites that your not making alot of cash with and but if you could miss a sale for it being down then go with godaddy.

When you hear big industry name hosting providers don't assume they are the best. Choose a company that has been around for long time. Don't forget to read some reviews and consider what level of support the provider offers. You may especially need some support hosting wordpress because if you don't update often and well it can be susceptible to attacks.

Many people, build web site to make money. Therefore you need a web host with the best uptime and support. If your site is down for hours, who will visit your site?
Read reviews from reliable sources and choose the best web host. However according to my knowledge, for Hostgator and Bluehost have more positive reviews.

godaddy is good for domains. So for hosting choose any one of the below:

    bluehost

    hostgator,

    dreamhost.

In the web hosting industry that provider is best in my sense who provide faster customer support. to check this create support ticket on all the provider you mentioned. Now watch who replying you fast. Do this for 2-3 times. You will find out who can give you really good support.
    THanks

To sum up, Hostgator is the provider of choice for those who want more flexibility in choosing their pricing and level of technical features (especially websites expecting medium or high traffic in the future), while Bluehost can be recommended for those who want a single headache-free solution with attractive value-for-money offering and a free domain for the taking: http://w101.net/hostgator-vs-bluehost/

I always had bad experience with big hosting companies. I will recommend you to look for a small but reputable company. Always google for reviews before buying ;)
