Good Fast CMS

I need a good CMS for a large myspace resource site. It needs to be able to display layouts and graphics and such as well as have a tag cloud and allow users to add content and comment on it. Can Wordpress do this? or is Joomla a better solution? I really need something small, light, and easy to modify. I looked at Drupal but it's really overkill for the needs of the site. Can anyone recommend something? Or comment on wordpress, I am really leaning towards wordpress but I hear it's code is messy.

Wordpress is definately smaller and lighter than joomla. Joomla probably has more functionality. Not knowing everything you are needing makes it hard to give a firm answer but I've been leaning towards Wordpress lately.

Joomla will grow with your site in future.

I really do not need much. I pm'd you the url of the site we're moving over to a new CMS. I basically need the current functions of it, except i'd like to allow users to comment on the layouts and also add their own. The layouts are basically an HTML file with css code and links to the images. The current CMS's also generates thumbnails for graphics and thumbnails - i'd like wordpress to do that too. Is it possible?

The site won't be growing - the features it has now will be sufficent for a long time.

As you can see the functions of this website are very simple so I think wordpress will do the job. Can someone recommend a good wordpress developer?
