The best ways to increase traffic to your twitter profile is by following people that are interested in what you have to offer. You can do this by using the Twitter Search area. Search for the "niche" you want to promote and then follow the people that come up. Try not to add marketers and people that have a ton of followers. Add people that seem like they need help and would like to get your product or need help learning something. You want to target people in need, not people that are doing what you do. The only time you should add other marketers is if you are promoting marketing products and think you could help them with their marketing skills.

 

I personally use tweepi and follow a popular user in my niche. I.E. I have a poker strategy blog, so I would follow users that follow popular poker players like Phil Ivey or Phil Hellmuth and etc.

 

I forgot to mention, do not follow more than 100 people per. day. This can get you banned by twitter. Follow 100 or less people each day. And unfollow those that don't follow you after about a week. But do it gradually so you don't raise any flags from following too fast as well. And when you post things, don't post more than a couple links every few hours. And mix it up with helpful tweets that don't have links. People will like this more and so will Twitter. You can also ask people to retweet your tweets. This can be great viral traffic. So don't be shy to ask for retweets if you think it's something many people may like.

Yes the idea mentioned in this ebook looks great but not sure, how many people have actually implemented it and got good results.

I usually add my fb fans by fb fan page , and add share buttons in my site .
but for twitter , i need some suggestions also .

I have been using Twiends.com from last 2 days and in just 2 days i got more than 1000 fans for my fan-page and you can get followers on twitter in same speed by twiends.com..

 

I don't care about software and all, the only sure way of getting followers is by following people, tweet good stuff and ask people to follow you back.

 

I find that for every 100 people you add from Twiends you lose about 10%, to spammers who go back and Unlike you later. Anyone else notice this?

 

Twiends is very effective in getting more followers in Twitter as well as likes in FB and views in YouTube. I am using it now...

 

I would suggest the manual way of following friends so you can check them if they are really active or not. Send them messages to follow you. Once they added you, respond to them and make a connection. It's good to identify who noticed you and respond to their tweets.

The best way to get twitter followers is to buy them but you must be active on the site and the best way to get followers is to follow other people and then response regularly to the things that they post.
If you want to get more followers, your tweets must be also interesting. Don’t just be active without saying anything. You must post things that are really useful so that people will be interested in your tweets and in you.

 

I come to know that starting contests are great ways to get traffic to your account. Is that true too?
