A while back I heard alot of rumors that google had plans to build there own browser and give IE some competition but now I notice that google and firefox have been working together alot lately...

Do you think google plans a take over?

Nope, firefox will always be a free, non-commercial browser, just like DMOZ is a non-commercial directory

Google and Firefox? Sounds like a match made in Heaven but it's extremely, extremely unlikely.

Actually Google is giving FireFox "tens of millions of dollars" right now. They pay firefox for EVERY SEARCH made using the built in Google search box. The exact amount is currently undisclosed but in the "tens of millions" range.

    In the future:
Google will own firefox and make it better, faster, and the main competitor to IE.
Unless of course, MS bids a ton of money for firefox.

Cleans Stains from anything including Your Underwear, Toyz, the Kids Hair (even after they put all their Lunch in it), The Dogs Butt, the place the Cat Licks, Your Tires on the Family Car, Even gets rid of the Paper Boy & the Postman if you use enough on the sidewalk...

I feel the same, I love that name Firefox, and if they change the name anyway, the logo would be useless ;) and firefox will loose its identity :D
But guessing names, just in case google think about changing the name
