Google is making me cry - revenue terrible!

I see many people on here writing about 3% CPM being par for the course, but for me, 0.75% seems to be all that I am getting from Google, with days like yesterday where it drops down to 0.3%, with an equally poor CPC to match! Can someone look at my site and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

BTW, my traffic is mostly US-based, followed by Japan.

How about using bigger ad size unit and just only for text ads? So far, I can only find one banner on top of the page and another skyscraper on the sidebar which doesn't seem to get my attention. You can also play around with the placement.

When I look at your website, what stands out most is the article titles, the blockgreen and white, perhaps change your adsense to match that ?? or try different sizes, 160x600 down the sides ??...(text only not image)

I swap and change often just to experiment, even though it looks better blended, for some reason people are more likely to click the ads using Blue Titles...just my personal experience, keep swapping and changing until you get there :D

he is right. That green blends so well I didn't even notice it at first. Those ads definitely don't stand up. Change the color for the ads. It should be something to go with the green but not green! As for the skyscraper....it's so low on the page that it didn't capture my attention until I started scrolling. Btw I have 22' monitor!

Thanks for your feedback people! I'll switch to blue titles for a bit, and perhaps tone down the post titles.

I'll see what happens if I move the ads above the post title.

The skyscraper used to be very low but I've now reordered as AdToll and the jobs thing are not bringing in any revenue.

Hi Kenyn. Clickthrough rates vay enormously. I have 100 adsense sites. The twoe that get the most traffic also get the worst conversions. Just so you know I get CTR's of about half of one percent on those two sites . On the other hand I routinely average 10-20% on others.

Sometimes a site can be to good for adsense.

The traffic source is important, get more natural traffic or targeted traffic.
Anyway, I suggest you use 2 units rectangular ads at the top instant of 1 unit.
