google sitemaps - bad performance

    I have bad experience with google sitemaps. I had much better traffic before I put sitemaps. Any similar experiences?

    Has your pages been spidered yet? Sometimes even though you submit your site map it takes quite some to to spider all your pages.

    i was getting 500 visitors from google a day before i added sitemaps...now i get barely 5 a day...and also my referring backlinks on google disappeared...any ideas???? Im wishing i didnt add it It did the opposite of what i thought it would

    Actually I think that Google index far more pages without sitemaps. Which implicate that something between 3-7x higher number of indexed pages will produce at least 2x more visitors.

    With sitemaps you will get exact number of indexed pages as you really have and in my case even less (because of whole indexing process).

    Just cuz your site vanished? I had very few pages indexed. I uploaded the xml and bamm - the crawler went nuts on my site and started going in deep deep deep.
