    What is the general view on Google Sitemaps?

    I have heard both positive and negative feedbacks on the tool. What is your experience with it? Is there any real benefits for pagerank or search results at all?

    I´m new to sitemaps, but my general view is that if your site is popular and your pages ar almost all indexed then using this kind of services may be dangerous. On the other side, if this can help google index your pages, new sites could benefit from it.

    I never had anything but positive with Google Sitemaps. But I now use http:www.xml-sitemaps.com which automatically pings Google when you crawl the site so there is no need to go in and use the sitemaps part in Google.
