    Google and Facebook are different platform. Facebook can give you some direct traffic. It's a widely used social network. On the other hand, Google is the mostly used search engine, that is also very important to attract traffic.

    currently facebook is on top of this what we call "social marketing" but believe you me google can beat the crap out of facebook. Google circle+ is great just drag and drop if you want to add some friends. thats cool for me :)

    Definitely google, facebook is relatively useless in terms of consumer products. No one even looks at ads unless they're really out of the box unique wheras you could use the same somewhat interesting ad on google and it'll perform much better

    Facebook is best to promote your brand because it is a social-centric website. Google on the other hand offers search. For me Google really knows what a person really wants, facebook users tend to follow the social norm and doesn't really reveal their real interest, while almost all users of Google never give a second though on what they put on that query box.

    Facebook definitely takes the cake because of their traffic volume and promotional platform. Not saying that Google can't give you stellar profit but the way at which you can connect your product to your Facebook customers is just genius.

    Right now in my opinion Google has the upper hand. It is a search engine, has its own browser, owns YouTube, Adwords, Gmail, Calendar and Google+. Facebook is being groomed for business marketing now it just takes a little more work.
