Great Results in SERPS, Mess with Adsense - Please Help

    Hi All,

I've been getting fairly good placement in the serps for several pages, and really don't want to monkey with the content itself if I can help it.

I have two pages that talk about MySpace and marquees. I review the pages every 2 or 3 days and block the ads for LED signs, party tents in the UK (are they called marquees over there?), and hotel sites. The next day I start getting clicks again. I wait a couple of days, block some more, get some more clicks...and so on. Oh and there are the web programming companies that want a $500 deposit to start. Yeah sure, just what the MySpace crowd is going to look at.

Well, now I've gotten to the 200 mark in blocked sites.

Thought about section targeting, but I would have to make the sections to include so tiny that it would surely raise red flags. At this point, I don't even care if I get ads that pay only a few pennies if they were something visitors might actually click on.

One of the pages is http://www.helpforwebbeginners.com/webmasters/marquee-code.html the other one is linked to it in 2 places.

    Any ideas?

I would suspect it looks OK to you as I just went through and whacked another bunch of ads, though I do still see LED Marquee on the top ad. Tomorrow will bring a new group of mismatched junk. Even got some wedding stuff today.

And yes, I most likely have the same opinion as you do about marquees and websites. But, if folks are looking for this, why shouldn't I provide it to them? ;)

its good to see you not all about the money. As for helping the solution, i have nothing you ya. I dont get lots of ad blocking. But it is always good to see that not everyone is out for money.

I'd rather have ads that pay pennies that people actually click on than have the highest paying ads that are never clicked on. It would be nice to have both, but if that were my plan of attack the website would be about meso., lawyers or something known for the big payouts.

    I'm a girl - of course I like money! :D

Seriously, how many folks truly have Adsense and don't hope to make some money from it?

Anyone got an idea what I do to fix this?

Surely I can't be the only person who's run into this. No ideas or suggestions? Anyone?

    Well, this was productive.

No suggestions and that site falls almost completely out of the SERPs. I hope this was a coincidence; but, somehow I doubt it.

Here's my suggestion after looking at your site.

Put adsense ads on your 'home' page and 'introduction' pages. The ads that display should more closely match the theme of your site -- tutorials.

The marquee page may be an unsolvable problem. You could try, however, breaking the page into two pages. One would be an introductory page with ads, the other would be the marquee code examples, without ads.

    Hope this helps.

I like the ad near the map, looks great, but it seemed to me more like a description than a link so i didn't feel the urge to click it. Mabe you should change the colors or something.
