Grey Box Ads

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by yaffer, May 5, 2006.

I've tried to ad link ads to the bottom section of this page and the ads display as grey boxes, not as link ads. I also tried to change the ads to text link ads like those at the top of the page and still had the grey boxes. I've seen those grey boxes when there weren't any image ads to display, but this is really puzzling. It's not like there aren't more ads to display. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How long did you leave the ads on your site?

Sorry this is abit offtopic butt why are you putting ads on your business site like that when most likely they will show ads of businesses in the same market. Is that really a good thing to make a small amount of adsense?

i get a ton of traffic on this site and about 20 inquiries per month about our services. i haven't seen any decrease in inquiries since i started displaying adsense. the adsense amout isn't really that small. back to the topic at hand. do you see the grey box ads on that page? any idea why they are displaying like that?

alfie, not quit sure what you mean. i put the ad there today, about 3 hours ago and got this odd display. i've tested the link ads on another page, but got very low click through rates. i thought adding them near the bottom might help.

The script tag on your second ad block has javascript written as JavaScript, perhaps that is the reason. The script tag is also modified from what AdSense would've created (language="" isn't part of it)...
