Has Anyone ever REALLY made money from a Survey Site?

Discussion in 'General Business' started by 1associate, Jan 12, 2010.

I'm really embarrassed to admit it but once I joined a cash for surveys site. I made zero but I do still get spammy emails via it.

Has anyone ever really made money from filling in online surveys? If I ruled the world wide web I'd ban every one of them...

Has any DP member made anything other than spam from one?

In my experience you'll get a windfall at some point if you stick at it. I was making a little over $1,000/month from CPALead and I still have a constant stream of revenue from Clickbank but i tend to leave it for a few months then come back to it which is what I've done now.

Keep your eyes open for these ad schemes though cause they come and go really quickly once they start making $$$$$

Good question!! I would love to know this myself! Scottpool2003, can you tell me about the CPALead? You really made $1000 a month? I am looking for a job I can do from home with my computer and I would be happy to make $1000 a month!! Thanks!

Yes, Points2shop and Prizelive are some pretty sweet ones. It wasn't really all that hard, its just that you need to put some time into it. If your not patient then, it probably won't work for you.

cpalead is the best survey site ever, because you can choose to be paid through wire or paypal and you can choose to be paid early.

Well, very sad to hear that. But I've never tried that.I think it depends on the style of your service or porducts.
Sometimes, you may easily be regarded as spamming without enough attention.

Not so much when you're filling them out yourself, but for marketing them ... surveys sites have always been hit and miss. Depends on the marketing approach and traffic demographic completely. 'Opinionated' moms, for example, seem to love surveys, so in that case, you can make bank if you make a big deal about a particular survey and show them where to go. Otherwise, the generalized 'make money with surveys at home' stuff doesn't convert like it used to when all those survey aff programs first hit the scene.

I was (even more embarrassingly) talking about making money from filling in surveys. They seem top lead to spam and incoming telesales calls and no money. The phone would not stop ringing if I were to fill in $100 worth so not worth my while. Because of this experience though I'd be reticent to market a survey site...

    - Linking Structure
I'd like to think that you know about linking structures and page impressions but I'll mention this one anyway...Page impressions are always important, so what I did was work the structure like this:
HOME > MOVIES > MOVIE NAME > PLAY
It just adds to the impressions which works. It also gets more pages indexed in Google.

Can someone fill me in on link structure a little more please?

    Yes definately!

In fact, believe it or not I just got a reciept for $5 paid to PayPal this morning.

So yes, survey sites do work, you just need to join non scam ones and show some commitment to filling out surveys. :D

By making money I was thinking similar to a decent monthly salary amount and at least $40 an hour but thanks for your reply - at least it was on topic - which is becoming rare nowadays
