    I'm thousands of miles away and also got affected by hurrican katrina. My usual traffic was down by 50% and is still down now by 30%.
    Seems that many are following katrina and do less searches on other things.

    What would a hurricane passing over 2 or 3 states have anything to do with traffic? I got normal traffic and it seems to be a great Adsense day

    Maybe the server was in New Orleans, on a global scale it has very little impact except for fuel prices. Not to belittle the severity of the event, I only wish the best for those affected by Katrina.

    I have a mobile home repair site and the pattern I noticed after the Florida hurricanes was that traffic dropped off a lot during and just after the storm. Then, as power was restored, it soared as people went looking for advice about how to do repairs and where to buy parts.
