Have I placed too many ads above the fold?

I am just completing this design and am wondering whether I have put too much at the top and not left enough room to put things below the fold or in content.

I think some of the design is great and will attract click but am worried because it only leaves me room for one more ad in the content.

    What do you think?

(oh the very top ad does not sit properly in IE. i am working to fix this now (grrrr css is hard)

    thank you for you ideas.

I think it looks fine. perhaps you could remove the single ad the top and move it in content. I am not if anyone clicks right up there.

Yeah was thinking the same. It originally looked like content where the search is but i put the search there instead. i might put a referal banner there instead

The top ad is maybe a bit too much.

    The rest looks cool.

I just replaced the top advert with a firefox referal ad and I think it works better. I might change it everynow and then or randomize through a few different referal links.

I have the feeling that the search being where it is should attract a few clicks and should draw people to the ad on the left

Just on a design related note, a nice logo or image wouldn't go astray :)

    Any more ideas?

Yesterday I was getting high paying clicks but today my clicks are still high but lower in price.

Does anyone have any more placement suggestions?

I am trying to place an advert after the first news post as well. I think this would convert well. Although I am thinking of changing the e107 core to use the content management system as the news and main content system for the site instead of using just the news.

Placing an ad after some content or a post is a wise idea and always high recommended.
